Here come the Brides!
On October 14th, Consul-General Danny Lopez hosted a preview showcase for five British Bridal designers: Louis Mariette, Johanna Hehir, Matthew Williamson Bridal, Stephanie Allin Couture, and Vivien Sheriff. The evening marked the start of New York International Bridal Week, where these five designers will be featured among a multitude of the world’s best bridal designers.
“We are delighted to see these innovative British bridal designers being showcased at the New York International Bridal Week,” said Consul-General Lopez. “Following this year’s Royal Wedding, there has never been a better moment to promote British bridal design and fashion, which continues to be one of the strongest industries in the UK.”
The reception’s guests, which included bridal retailers, editors, and bloggers, were offered an exclusive preview of the latest collections of these designers. These five designers demonstrate the strength and breadth of UK bridal design, and will join a number of other British brands showcasing their collections this week to the US bridal market, including: Amanda Wakeley, Caroline Castigliano, David Fielden, Ian Stuart, Jenny Packham, Nicki MacFarlane, Polly Edwards, Sassi Holford, Halo & Co, and Paradox London.
